Virtual Recital
This video consists of a virtual recital created in the summer of 2021 and was published as Joshua’s third doctoral recital. Featured in the recital is pianist Eleanor Nuñez, cellist Kevin Mills, and drummer and audio engineer Frank Lenz. Works by Paquito D’Rivera, Roger Zare, Germaine Tailleferre, Meyer Kupferman, and Ludwig v. Beethoven.
Commissioned Works
Joshua has had the opportunity to commission multiple works from a network of diverse composers. Featured in this video is The Unresolved Case of Echo (2022) by composer Wilhemina Esary. Written for mezzo-soprano, clarinet, and harpsichord; this piece draws the audience into a sonic poem that plays on the semantics between a 1980s style murder mystery and the greek mythology of Echo. Joshua is joined by vocalist Natasha Nelson and keyboardist Kimberly Kang.
